Hey there, welcome to a brand new day on this beautiful planet.

We hope this letter finds you well, feeling energized and inspired. Welcome to the 280 new subscribers that joined since the last newsletter a couple of weeks ago!

Here at the BnF HQ, we’re settling into our routine with several large projects in the works as Flo was gone for a couple months attending school in Maine. Two weeks ago, he graduated from the super intensive 650 hour Anatomy Trains Structural Integration school with the legendary Tom Myers. Flo’s excited to dive deeper into bodywork and help even more people feel better in their bodies. He’ll be offering in-person sessions here in Vegas later this summer. If you’re in the area and interested in learning more, you can check out his SI website. Other than that, we’re gearing up for a hot desert summer in Vegas and adding more playtime in the water along with our usual nature explorations.

Sending out a BIG thank you to everyone who filled out our survey about what you want to see in our newsletter. We really appreciate the feedback and are using it to compile lots of juicy content in the coming months! As we continue to grow our international yoga community, we are always looking for ways to help you on your journey.

Last week we gave two lucky readers a free pair of Vivobarefoot shoes (congrats and enjoy, friends!) and this week we are giving away $100 to spend in our online shop! Read to the end of today’s newsletter to find out more…

The Power of a Morning Routine

One of the most powerful tools we have found for starting the day off right is a good morning routine. A morning routine can set the tone for your entire day, helping you feel focused, centered, and ready to take on whatever comes your way. With Ailo joining our morning routine, he’s there by our side as we incorporate healthy habits into each morning. He even joins us while we practice yoga, as well as meditation (you’re never too young to start!) Of course, everything takes longer but that’s also part of the experience of having a baby so we are cherishing every moment. Morning routines can be a family affair depending on your situation.

So, let’s dig into what makes a stellar morning routine…

Pssssttt! If you want more yoga, more content, more love, then hop over and join us on our new membership platform. Simply scroll down to get access to your exclusive FREE bundle! This juicy content is only available for newsletter subscribers. 😉

Start better mornings and better days today

Fundamentals Of a Great Morning Routine

Be an early riser and start the day with a bang! Our Morning Routine Program includes invigorating yoga movement, breathwork practices, and empowering affirmations and rituals to boost energy, mental clarity, and emotional well-being. Establish healthy morning habits that help you wake up refreshed, centered, and ready to take on your day with confidence and purpose. Starting the day with intention and purpose can help you cultivate a sense of calm and clarity that will carry you through even the busiest of days. However it is so important to dedicate the first hour or two to yourself. No phone, no email inbox, and no sense that someone is governing your time ‘on the clock.’

We can spend so much time working for others throughout our day, so dedicating time to yourself first thing is a HUGE win! Making time for your creative outlets or passions early on in the day can be so invigorating and fills your own cup so that you have more love and energy to pour into others’ cups. If you’re looking for inspirational books to dive into for your morning reads, check out our recommended book list in our kits.

There Is No One Perfect Morning Routine

We also know that everyone's morning routine will be different, and that's okay. Everyone lives a unique life with unique circumstances so regardless of what time you wake up to get going, the key is to find what works for you and to consistently stick with it.

Whether it's a quick yoga flow, a few moments of quiet meditation, adding some interesting detours to your morning commute (scroll down for inspo!) or simply savoring a cup of coffee or tea, taking the time to prioritize your well-being in the morning can make a big difference in how you feel throughout the day.

Remember, the most important thing is to take care of yourself, both physically and mentally and these two elements are part of your whole self; equally important and relying upon one another to thrive.

Design Your Ideal Morning Routine for Success

  1. Prioritize YOU First: Set aside the first hour of your day for yourself before diving into work or responsibilities. This may mean getting up a little earlier than everyone else in the house…

  2. Avoid Snoozing: Get up right away and avoid checking your phone first thing in the morning.

  3. Hydrate: Start your day with lime water or celery juice for a healthy boost.

  4. Find the movement which works for you: Whether it’s yoga, a mindful walk, or a run—tailor your routine to fit your lifestyle. This quick and energizing flow with Bre is a great way to kick off your day! If you’re pregnant, this one will be better for you.

  5. Stay Consistent: Building a habit takes time, but committing to a daily practice will lead to lasting benefits.

  6. Use the 5-Second Rule: Count down from five and take action before your brain talks you out of it.

  7. Learning & Growth: Listen to audiobooks or read to expand your knowledge - around 88% of successful* people read at least 30 minutes daily for self-education and personal growth. It also raises your confidence, inspires creativity and gives you more to connect with others about - win win!

  8. Mindfulness & Meditation: Do a 3 minute body scan, begin with some breathwork, meditation, or journaling - these precious moments of solitude will give you a calm and peaceful start to the day to carry forward into everything you do.

  9. Try a 30-Day Ritual Challenge: If you’re serious about building your morning routine, then we also encourage you to practice one of our 30-day yoga calendars strategically structured to build you up throughout the month with daily classes that will help you stay consistent.

Make your mornings count and see how different you feel after just a week of setting yourself up for success.
